Information Services: Background and Services

At BETA Healthcare Group (BHG), we believe the quality and speed of information delivery can have a dramatic impact on healthcare facility operations. To help members improve in-house procedures that help reduce claims and losses, BHG has invested in advanced communications and data-retrieval systems. A few examples:

  • A specialized database stores each facility's claims and incident data and allows members to receive a variety of reports for evaluating claims performance and incident trends. Claims loss runs are mailed monthly, and incident trending reports are updated electronically each month and are available for downloading through our extranet.

  • Data mining software and statistical analysis tools allow us to generate custom reports and graphs upon request. Members can request special reports by sending an email to .
     
  • An extranet for our members currently provides confidential on-line access to the following:
    • risk management publications
    • sample policies and procedures
    • presentations from recent meetings
    • DVD lending library materials
    • monthly claims reports for participating facilities
    • trending reports for participating facilities
    • loss runs
    • custom reports.

    In the near future, we plan to expand the extranet to include the following:
    • underwriting documents, including coverage contracts and renewal certificates.

Given the confidential nature of the materials posted on our extranet, it is important that extranet accounts be kept current. The following form can be used to add, delete or modify existing extranet accounts:
