We are currently accepting applications for the following position(s):

Positions: Information Services Technicians
Locations:    San Diego, CA and Glendale, CA
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Position Summary: Under direct supervision of the VP of Information Services, helps troubleshoot software and hardware problems for end users and provides general assistance to the Information Services Department

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain inventory of computer hardware and software
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of computer software and hardware questions
  • Install PC software and hardware components, including RAM, video cards, internal modems, and motherboards
  • Keep IS procedures updated
  • Keep IS related Access databases updated, including TrackIt
  • Keep extranet accounts current
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Monitor on-line education enrollment and training
  • Perform new employee computer and phone orientation
  • Monitor printers to ensure sufficient toner and paper
  • Internet research as required on specific topics
  • Provide clerical support to IS department staff
  • Monitor check-out resources (laptops and projectors)
  • Back-up telephone and clerical support for other departments
  • Special data entry projects on an as needed basis
  • Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a help desk technician or a recent college graduate with a degree in computer science
  • Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Office XP and Office 2010(Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook and OneNote)
  • ImageRight (document imaging) experience strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of windows networks and prior experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working with Terminal Services strongly preferred
  • Experience in moving and assembling computers and peripherals
  • High level of commitment to customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to travel
