Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Vice President of Risk Management, the Director of Risk Management will partner with the hospitals and physician groups to help ensure that every outcome, and the experience of every patient and family, is the best it can be.

Our dedicated risk management professional offer highly qualified, easy-to-access expertise and services designed to help reduce risk of patient harm while delivering safe and reliable care.
We are looking for a Director of Risk Management to join our dynamic team. We have adopted a rigorous approach for cultivating talent and finding ways for all team members to contribute ideas and energy. Responsibilities include risk assessments, recommendations for improved patient safety and loss prevention practices, educational programs and risk management consultations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Design and implement risk management and patient safety programs for Members in BETARMA and physician groups in HealthPro
Conduct loss prevention activities including on-site risk assessments
Provide risk management education and consultations
Works cooperatively with BETA team members
Promotes good internal and external communications
Other duties as necessary
Qualifications:
BS degree in Nursing, advanced degree preferred
Experience as a hospital risk manager
CPHRM preferred (required within 12 months of hire)
Experience in OB or ED preferred
Extensive knowledge of risk management and patient safety issues
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to travel as necessary
Proficient with computers/software including Office 2010 and Windows XP
