Our Senior Staff: Annie Herlik, R.N., J.D., CPHRM

Vice President, Risk Management Department

Ms. Herlik is responsible for BETA Healthcare Group's clinical risk management program, which focuses on designing and implementing risk reduction and loss prevention strategies. She also assists risk managers at each member site with their own risk identification and reduction activities.

Ms. Herlik's career has spanned the fields of nursing, law and risk management. She has worked as a nurse in ICU, ED, home health and hospice. She has worked as an attorney specializing in medical malpractice defense. And before joining BETA Healthcare Group in 2009, she was the director of national risk management for Kaiser Permanente, overseeing risk reduction activities for over 8 million members.

Ms. Herlik received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Emergency Medical Technician certificate from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and went on to obtain her law degree from the University of San Diego. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
